CHORUS
I am many – I am one
I have danced in summer sun
I am old and I am young
and I am you.
Jesus saved and set me free
and He gave me a family,
then He said, “Abide in me
as I in you!”
1. When such joy comes shining through
that your heart breaks right in two
and you feel it must be shared,
just turn my way.
For the laughter in your eyes
will be reflected in my smile
and we’ll multiply His blessings day by day!
2. When the teardrops sting your eyes,
don’t hide the pain inside.
Thinking no one wants to bother
with your fears.
For a burden that is shared
with a friend who really cares
becomes light enough to carry to the Lord.
3. I am you and you are me
living in God’s family.
And we share the joy and pain
and blessing there.
For the Spirit makes us one
as we stand before the Son
of the Father, Christ our Brother,
we are one!
