Tenderly He calls me

Lovingly He draws me

and I eagerly accept the invitation

to His Kingdom.

Though the world around me lingers

bids my soul slip through His fingers

still I stand upon His promise

to be there to see me though.

1. Since the Shepherd found me

put His loving arms around me

I am carried through the valleys

and the wilderness of days.

Fragrant pastures, quiet waters

or the wild and stormy mountains

all my ways are in His watching

and I rest within His care.

2. I praise Him for the mountains

and the valleys of my journey.

I praise Him for the rainbows

that He placed along the way.

I praise Him for the calling

and the questions that keep drawing me

into the light and wonder

of His everlasting day.
