There is one who loves us and misses us when we turn away.  In fact, he loves us so much he wrote it in indelible ink on history’s pages.

 1. Jesus came to earth one day

from His home in Heaven, far away.

He came to man who’d turned away.

And this is what He said.

To whom it may concern, I love you,

all is forgiven, come on home!

To whom it may concern, I want you,

all is forgiven, come on home!

I’ll give my life to save you,

search through the night to bring you home.

My love for you never changes,

it shines through the night to call you home!

2. Well, we looked up and saw this man

who came with Heaven in His hand.

But our eyes were dim, we could not see

and we wondered why He said,

3. Then He went out at close of day

upon the mountainside to pray.

He cried, “My God, the time has come,

the ransom must be paid!”

His Father watched that holy day

as Jesus gave Himself away.

The Heavens wept, the sky grew dark

and then we heard Him say,
