1. You are my yesterday, my shining now, the sum of my tomorrows.

And though our lives contain their share of sorrows

I’ll love you through the sum of my tomorrows.

2. You are my morning star, my noonday sun,

 my day’s repose at twilight.

I bring to you the shadows of my heart’s light

and you fill them with your laughter

 in the twilight.

3. You are my happy song, each breath I take,

 the bread I break at sundown.

The love you give me makes my world go spinning round

and calls me to your side again

 at sundown.

4. You are my everything, the quiet wind,

the rain upon my face in summer.

I see you walk within this world of wonder,

and know you’ll make my life

a velvet summer!

you’re everything to me.

You’re my ‘hello’ when I’m weary for home;

my warm fire when the winter wind blows cold on my back.

You’re my home, my joy;

a song that fills my world with

so much music that I’ve just got to sing it!

And I do.

I sing my song for you.
